Brandon Trafton
D.O.B.: 6/10/1990
PLACE OF BIRTH: Clovis, Ca
HOMETOWN: Clovis, Ca
HOW DID YOU GET INTO CYCLING: For my fifteenth birthday my grandpa and mom got me my first road bike. After my first ride I was hooked; after my first race, I knew I wanted to race at the professional level.
BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Starting a healthy food vending machine service at my high-school, The Center for Advanced Research and Technology. The profit from the vending service goes into scholarships for CART alumni.
FAVORITE FOOD: Homemade Chicken Parmesan a la Julie
TOP 3 FAVORITE MOVIES: Peaceful Warrior, Friday Night Lights and Crash
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT: One night I decided to go skinny dipping in a private hot tub outside a cottage rental. I left my keys and clothes inside but the door automatically locked behind me. I had to walk to the office in my birthday suit, only to find there was no one there. After about an hour I managed to break back in without damaging the room.
BEST ADVICE YOU COULD PASS ON: It’s not what you’re willing to give, its what you’re willing to give up that shows true dedication.
OTHER SPONSORS: My longest sponsor would definitely be my mother.
BIO:
I would definitely consider myself a cycling fanatic; I love riding and I LOVE racing. I really enjoy introducing people to the world of cycling. I find great pleasure in sharing my experiences with new comers and teaching people what I can about cycling. In addition to racing my bike I am studying kinesiology at Sacramento State University. I am always looking to learn something new and perfect my talents. My recovery time is spent either relaxing with my girlfriend Julie and my little bulldog Hefner, or playing video games and watching documentaries by myself because apparently that’s “boring.”
